Referral Program Terms

Introduction

These Referral Program Terms ("Referral Terms") govern your participation in the Independent Artist Method ("IAM," "we," "us," or "our") referral program. By sharing your referral link, using a referral link to make a purchase, or otherwise participating in the program, you agree to these terms. These Referral Terms are in addition to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. We collect and use referrer and referee identifiers, purchase events, and referral links to operate the program, apply discounts and credit, and prevent abuse, as described in our Privacy Policy.

How the Program Works

When you refer someone to IAM using your unique referral link, they may receive a discount on their first purchase based on what they buy. You earn referral credit on qualifying purchases, which is applied to your next IAM upgrade or subscription payment. The discount they receive and the credit you earn follow the same ladder (5% up to 50%), depending on the product or bundle they purchase.

Discount and credit percentages by purchase type are: Monthly Trifecta (5%); Optimization (10%); Full Scale (15%); Full Scale + Monthly Trifecta (25%); Annual Trifecta (35%); Full Scale + Annual Trifecta (50%). We may update this ladder from time to time; the version in effect at the time of the referee's purchase applies.

Referrer Credit

You earn credit equal to the same percentage as the discount the referred customer receives, applied to the amount they pay. For example, if they receive 25% off and pay $200, you earn 25% of $200 ($50) in credit. Credit is stored in your account and accumulates; you can bank it and use it toward future eligible IAM purchases (e.g., an upgrade) or subscription payments.

Credit is applied automatically at checkout or when we bill your subscription. For any single purchase or subscription payment, we apply only up to 100% of the amount due—we never apply more than the total, so a purchase or invoice is never "overpaid" with credit. Any credit you have in excess of that purchase or payment remains in your balance for your next eligible purchase or subscription payment. There is no limit to how much credit you can hold; unused credit carries over until used.

Credit has no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred to another person, or refunded. We may introduce a maximum balance, expiration, or other rules in the future; if we do, we will update these terms and notify you as appropriate.

Refer 7 Milestone

If you reach seven (7) qualifying referrals, we grant you a year of the Scaling Software Trifecta on us ("Refer 7 reward"). A qualifying referral is one where the referred customer completes their first purchase (any product, including the lowest-priced option) using your referral link. Each qualifying referral counts once; we do not require a minimum purchase amount.

If you already have a Trifecta subscription, we comp your next year (renewal waived or credited). If you do not have Trifecta, we grant you a free first year of Trifecta; after that year, the subscription continues at the then-current rate unless you cancel. The Refer 7 reward is granted once per person, per lifetime. Once granted, we do not revoke it if a referred customer later refunds their purchase.

Refunds and Revocation of Credit

If a referred customer refunds their first purchase (the purchase that qualified the referral), we will: (1) no longer count that referral toward your qualifying total (e.g., if you had 7, you would drop to 6); and (2) revoke the referral credit we gave you for that specific referral (deducted from your balance or from future credit). If you have already used that credit, we may deduct it from future credit or absorb it as stated in our systems.

The Refer 7 reward itself is not revoked if a referred customer refunds after you have already received the reward. Partial refunds and chargebacks of the referee's first purchase are treated as a refund for these purposes.

Eligibility and Abuse

You must have a valid IAM account and be in good standing to participate as a referrer. We reserve the right to disqualify you from the program, revoke credit, or withhold or revoke the Refer 7 reward if we determine, in our sole discretion, that you have abused the program—including but not limited to self-referral, fake or fraudulent referrals, use of multiple accounts to inflate referrals, or any conduct that violates our Terms of Service or these Referral Terms.

Referral links and codes are for personal, non-commercial use. You may not sell or transfer your referral link or code, or use paid advertising or incentivized traffic in a way that violates our policies or applicable law.

Changes and Termination

We may change these Referral Terms, the discount and credit ladder, or the Refer 7 program (including eligibility or reward details) at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last modified" date. Your continued participation after changes constitutes acceptance. We may suspend or discontinue the referral program at any time; existing credit and any Refer 7 reward already granted will be honored subject to these terms.
